Nina Kovacic, BCCJ, MSW

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

*Serving Clients in Ontario*

You are motivated by a desire to serve others. You are the first to respond when someone is in need. In an emergency, you act swiftly and with a sense of urgency. You are insightful, persistent, and motivated to make the necessary adjustments that will allow you to fulfill your passions. However, you have recently been irritated, angry, and avoidant. You find it difficult to concentrate with intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and even nightmares. Your daily life seems unbalanced and strenuous. Unfortunately, you no longer feel like yourself, and you have come to believe that this way of life is no longer for you.

The Good News — You are not alone. I too have felt stuck in cognitive distortions, ruminating thoughts, and a low in mood. This caused confusion and a lack of mental clarity. I am continuously learning new ways to give myself compassion, ground myself, and to accept what I can and cannot change. And with my training and experience, I am here to help!

I have direct experience working with first responders such as military, police, dispatch, paramedics, and firefighters.

Together, in a safe space, we can work together by exploring your inner world. We can work toward discovering and leveraging your strengths, creating new abilities to add to your arsenal, and to bring you to a place of greater peace and confidence as you move forward. Using a trauma informed lens, I provide a nonjudgmental atmosphere where you can feel understood and accepted.
