Tamar Hidegh - B.A, MSW, Registered Social Worker

*Serving Clients in Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador*

You may be someone who has carried heavy burdens for a long time, relying on strength and resilience to keep moving forward. Perhaps you are a first responder, a veteran, or someone who has lived through painful experiences that few around you truly understand. For years, you may have managed to push through, but now the weight feels harder to bear. Sleepless nights, intrusive memories, or deep feelings of guilt or betrayal may leave you questioning your worth, your relationships, and even your future. Yet these struggles are not the truth of who you are.

I understand what it means to feel worn down by pain and doubt. I have walked alongside people who thought they had to carry everything alone, only to realize that healing becomes possible when the burden is shared. With clinical training, specialized work in trauma and moral injury, and a deep respect for the resilience it takes just to survive, I am dedicated to helping people move from being stuck in pain toward rediscovering meaning, connection, and hope.

Here is the framework that has helped my clients and will guide our work together:

  • Face the trauma instead of avoiding it, creating a safe space to bring painful experiences into the open.

  • Process the memories and emotions, allowing the nervous system and mind to begin releasing what has been held inside.

  • Heal from the experience by integrating it into your story without letting it define you.

  • Facilitate post-traumatic growth, so that from the struggle emerges new strength, meaning, and a renewed sense of purpose.

This framework is designed to help you loosen the grip of trauma and rebuild a life that feels grounded, productive and purposeful.
