Sometimes it’s hard to know if things could be different. Better.
Perhaps you need to make a problem more manageable, improve an important relationship, make an important decision, or simply get through a very difficult time. Psychotherapy can help you to create the positive changes you want for yourself.
I am an experienced psychotherapist in Clinical Psychology specializing in the treatment of depression; relationship issues; obsessive-compulsive symptoms; stress; trauma; abuse (past or recent); grief and loss; addiction or issues with alcohol or substance use; self-esteem, and different types of anxiety (such as generalized, social and performance, worry, panic attacks and physical anxiety, health anxiety).
I work with adults (individuals over 18 years of age).
I integrate Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT), Humanistic, and Brief Psychodynamic/Interpersonal approaches to help you with your issues and your goals.
As a therapist, I have been described as warm and relatable. I will work very hard to ensure that as a client you feel heard and accepted. I believe that respectfully challenging you to move outside your comfort zone may be necessary to facilitate growth and change. Finally, I care about your sense of progress and your experience in therapy, so I will encourage us to talk openly about such things as we work together.
I completed my Master’s degree in Adult Clinical Psychology in 2006 at the University of Windsor. Since then, I have worked in private practice, university counselling centre, and community agency settings providing psychotherapy. Currently, I am a Psychological Associate registered for supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
